The Member Engagement committee is accepting members to join us in our aligned goal of recruitment and social outreach to Spartans all over Chicagoland. Our members are focused on planning events that appeal to MSU grads of all ages and interest groups. Examples of events planned by our Membership Engagement Committee include are our annual gala Spartyball, game watches at our official MSU bars and a summer boat cruise on Navy Pier.

Matthew A. Krauss
Board MemberMatt graduated in 2005 with a B.A. from the School of Hospitality Business in Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with specialized studies in finance and marketing. At Michigan State, Matt was the Vice President and House Manager of the Michigan Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Matt also attended the University of Alabama. During his post-graduate years he has taken professional courses and development programs sponsored by Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies and the Harvard Business School Executive Education.
Matt is responsible for account management at stadiums, venues, hotels, casinos, and large regional/national hospitality groups with the Great Lakes On-Premise team at MillerCoors. Previously, Matt was the Operations Director at US Cellular Field for Delaware North Sportservice over-looking hospitality and retail merchandise for the Chicago White Sox and then holding the position Director of Operations and Assistant General Manager at CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, Sounders, and WaMu Theatre. He also assisted in operations at Target Field (Twins), Soldier Field (Bears), Lambeau Field (Packers), Miller Park (Brewers), and Comerica Park (Tigers).
Matt joined the board in 2017. He has previously been involved as a volunteer with the board and Spartyball.
A resident of the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, Matt enjoys golf, city life, movies, and people watching. He finds it rewarding consulting the Michigan State Alumni Association in Chicago. He has Sommelier and Cicerone certifications and consistently expanding his beer knowledge through the Beer Merchant program (placing 2nd in both his 101 and 201 class).
Jacqui Becker
Co-Chair, Membership EngagementJacqui graduated from MSU in 2012 with a degree in Political Science. During her tenure at MSU, she was a four-year member of the MSU Figure Skating Team and competed in the 2011 National Collegiate Figure Skating Championship.
She is a Technical Recruiter for MATRIX Resources. She is also strongly committed to serving the local community which includes volunteering at Chicago PAWS and i.c. stars, a non-profit organization aimed at helping low-income adults start their careers within the IT industry.
Jacqui is a Co-Chair of the Membership Engagement Committee where she helps with planning various events and activities for the Chicago Spartan community. Jacqui joined the board in 2017.
Jacqui is a Lansing native and resides in Lincoln Park. In her free time, she enjoys playing beach volleyball, softball, traveling and cheering for her beloved Spartans and Tigers.
Kelsey Rosen
Vice PresidentKelsey graduated from MSU in December of 2012 with a Major in Marketing and Minor in Sales Specialization. While completing her undergrad at MSU, she competed in several sales competitions across the country on behalf of the university and was a part of the team that won the National Sales Competition for MSU in 2011.
She is currently working as an Account Executive for a Manufacturing Technology Firm. Kelsey is very active in giving back to her community and is also currently an Ambassador for the YWCA, a Board Member on the Associates Board of the Aids Foundation of Chicago and a Member of the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago.
Kelsey is the board Vice President. She joined the Board in 2014. Previously, Kelsey has served as the Board Secretary.
In her free time, Kelsey enjoys to travel. Her goal is to hit every continent before she dies. She also enjoys boating, going to the beach, snowboarding, running and hanging out with family and friends. Her twin brother also lives in Chicago and she adores her dog, Autumn. Being originally from the East Lansing area, the football atmosphere on campus is something she looks forward to every year and travels home frequently in the fall to visit the Spartan community!
