Big Networking in Chicago

No matter if you are a Badger, Spartan, Gopher, or Wolverine, we are all in this volatile economy together.  So leave the rivalries on the field and join with your fellow BIG TEN Alumni for a valuable Networking Event designed to create some career momentum.   

The evening features a presentation from Univesity of Wisconsin Graduate Brian Kurth ('88) on transitioning your career, and its filled with practical tips and strategies you can use now to help reach your career goals.

Option:  To get the most out of networking, you have got the option of creating a mini-bio when you reegister.  Briefly tell us about yourself both professionallly and personally.  We will then e-mail you a complete list of all bios before the event so you can print it out and use it to break the ice.

2009-2010 MSU Football Tickets

The MSU Alumni Club of Chicago offers early sale of football tickets as a membership benefit. 

michigan.jpgTicket processes have changed per previous years due to changes at MSU.  The schedule and order form is available at www.chicagospartas.com/2009FBTicketWorksheet.xls.

Non-members can join by adding $45 to your ticket order, as indicated in the excel spreadsheet. 

Ticket Orders Due:  Monday, July 13, 2009.  Orders must be sent and recieved by this date.  Send ticket form and payment to: Steve Wager, 1516 S. Wabash Avenue, #1002, Chicago, IL 60605.  Orders recieved without payment will not be honored.  Tickets will be mailed out when received from MSU.  Single football tickets are usually in the end or upper deck.

Annual Neighborhood Appreciation Block Party

Hosted by Higgins Tavern, Spartan owned Lakeview bar, is having its Annual Neighborhood Appreciation Block Party on Sunday, August 23, 2009. 

 Complimentary burgers, brats, hot dogs, chicken breast sandwiches and sweet corn!

Bring your own beverages or purchase them at the Tavern. 

The Jumping Jack unit will be arriving between 1pm and 2:30pm.  A service stop from the Chicago Fire Department has been requested too!  Its gonna be wild!

The Not-So Strategic Networking Event is a co-hosted event by the MSU AA Club of Metro Chicago and the Broad Alumni Network.

  • Time:  Official hours are 5-7 pm, but feel free to come early and stay late.
  • Location: Coogan's Riverside Saloon, 180 N. Wacker Dr. Ste. 1, Chicago, IL 60606.
