ChicagoBIGTEN Charity Bar Crawl hits River North
to raise $25,000 for Chicago public schools
THE BAR CRAWL
On August 28th, each school will call a River North venue home for the day at this 11-bar charity bar crawl hosted by the ChicagoBIGTEN. Throughout the ten-hour event, alumni will square off in rivalry contests, vie for prizes like a trip to Vegas, and enjoy drink deals at River North mainstays like Rockit, English, Bull and Bear, Social 25, and District.
The goal? To raise $25,000 for charity, with 100% of proceeds benefiting local kids in Chicago public schools. Tickets are on sale now for $15 at www.ChicagoBIGTEN.org

THE CHARITY
Alumni for Public Schools is a not-for-profit organization that promotes and supports volunteer partnerships between Chicago chapters of university alumni associates and individual Chicago public schools. The goal is to enhance student learning and increase students' awareness of and readiness for post-secondary options. www.APS-Chicago.org
THE ChicagoBIGTEN
The ChicagoBIGTEN was founded this year by the former Chicago Illini Club's President, Cameron Croft. Their mission is to serve as an advisory board and produce events to bring Chicago area Big Ten university alumni together. It consists of liaisons from each of the 11 local alumni chapters: University of Illinois, Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, Northwestern University, Ohio State University, Penn State, University Purdue University and University of Wisconsin. With over 300,000 Big Ten alumni in the Chicagoland area, this group already has several large events planned. www.ChicagoBIGTEN.org
