John Hill, Director of Career Services, MSUAA gives talk to Chicago Spartans
John Hill will be delivering his presentation: “Taking Your Own Online Connections Offline for Corporate Success” at Boston Blackies in the Loop at 7:30 am on January 29, 2010. Spartans will gather to share breakfast, network and grow by listening to one of State's social networking experts.

John Hill , Director of Alumni Career Services at Michigan State University, is charged with providing career services to 420,000 MSU alumni. John will enhance your understanding of leveraging your alumni network in "Taking Your Online Connections Offline For Career or Corporate Success". John runs the 10th largest official LinkedIn alumni group with nearly 16,000 MSU alumni members.

The presentation will allow one to understand  how Web 2.0, a term to describe online user-generated content, has proliferated on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedln. As these sites have grown, thanks in part to Generation Y’s interest in using these as preferred communication channels, the opportunities for businesses to capture audiences, target markets, qualify sales leads, find quality hires and communicate have grown exponentially. Learn the ins and outs of these preferred sites and how you can utilize them to accentuate your offline business practices.
